Scheduling & Rescheduling
- 1. What is the policy for scheduling or rescheduling a
meeting, and what happens if a student fails to do so in time?
Students need to schedule or reschedule their meeting 24 hours
before the meeting. Failure to do so may incur a cancellation fee
equivalent to 1 hour of charge.
- 2. What methods can students use to schedule their meeting,
and which method is preferred?
Students can schedule
their meeting via text, phone call, or email, preferably via text.
- 3. What options are available for meetings if a student is
located outside of Edmonton?
If you’re located outside
of Edmonton, we can meet through Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google
Meet, preferably via Zoom.
- 4. Where can meetings be held if a student is located in
Edmonton and intended to meet in person?
If you’re
located in Edmonton, we can meet either downtown or at the
University of Alberta main campus.
- 5. Can I choose to meet online if I am located in Edmonton?
Yes, you can choose to meet online if you are located in
Edmonton. We offer online tutoring sessions via Zoom, Microsoft
Teams, or Google Meet, allowing you the flexibility to attend
sessions
- 6. What is the policy if a student arrives late to a tutoring
session?
We stive to be on time and encourage students
to do the same. We will wait for a maximum of 10 minutes if the
student is late. If the student does not arrive within 10 minutes,
he/she need to reschedule the meeting to another day, and a
cancellation fee may apply.
Refund & Payment
- 1. What is the minimum charge for a tutoring session?
The minimum charge for a tutoring session is 1 hour.
- 2. How can students choose to pay if they opt for paying per
session?
Students can choose to pay after each tutoring
session if they opt to pay per session.
- 2. What are the payment options for students in the United
States?
If students are in the United States, we can
send them an invoice to pay with PayPal or they can pay directly on
the website through PayPal or Square.
- 3. What payment methods are accepted for students in Canada
who meet online?
If students are in Canada and we meet
online, Interac Transfer is accepted, or they can pay directly on
the website through PayPal or Square.
- 4. What payment options are available for students who meet in
person?
If students meet in person, they can choose to
pay by Interac Transfer or cash or they can pay directly on the
website through PayPal or Square..
- 5. What is the policy regarding the acceptance of checks as a
payment method?
Check is the least preferred method of
payment. We do not accept checks during the first session with the
student.
- 6. Can I request receipts for the tutoring sessions?
Yes,
we can send you receipts for our tutoring sessions upon request.
Sunnyknowledge Learning Plan
- 1. How is the refund calculated if a student decides to get a
refund after purchasing the SunnyKnowledge 6-hour learning plan?
If a student chooses to get a refund after buying the
SunnyKnowledge 6-hour learning plan, the hours spent will be
calculated at the regular rate. The refund amount will be the net
dollar amount after subtracting the total hours spent multiplied by
the regular rate from the initial payment.
- 2. What is the payment requirement for students who buy the
SunnyKnowledge 6-hour learning plan?
Students must pay
for the full 6 hours after the first session if they choose to buy
the SunnyKnowledge 6-hour learning plan.
- 3. What happens to the unused credit of the SunnyKnowledge
6-hour learning plan?
The unused credit of the
SunnyKnowledge 6-hour learning plan will expire after 6 months (183
days) from the date of the last tutoring session.
- 4. How are students informed about the hours spent and the
remaining balance of their SunnyKnowledge 6-hour learning plan?
The hours spent and the remaining balance of the SunnyKnowledge
6-hour learning plan will be updated to students via text, email,
or WhatsApp after the end of each session.
- 5. Is the SunnyKnowledge 6-hour learning plan renewable?
Yes, the SunnyKnowledge 6-hour learning plan is indefinitely renewable
after the balance drops to 0.
